My fiancee is currently going to school in South Carolina and every night we get on Skype and video chat.

I'm currently using a piece of crap $10 Bargain Bin Cam. Crappy framerate. Crappy quality.

Anybody have an suggestions? I want the best camera I can get for under $100.

Actually any of the the new Logitech web cams do really well. I had an old one that wasn't very good, but my brother got me a QuickCam Communicate that has the newer optical sensor for Christmas a few years ago and the picture is really good and it does really well in low light.

If you're wanting a really good web cam they now have "HD" ones. There are three in the series right now, and two are just at the $100 mark.

Depending on how much your using it the Communicate should do the job quite well and the price is actually decent.
