TOPIC: I just realized I should upgrade my video card

I just realized I should upgrade my video card 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 3
I went to EVGA and NCIX to find the specs for my video card (so I could link to it for my About Me page). What I found was that my 8800GT SC is no longer listed on either. That right there tells me that I'm a little behind the times. lol

Even though my card can play all the new games with good graphics and frame rates. Usually I'll buy a new card when I can't put the settings on High/Medium anymore, but it's not the case this time around.

The nVidia 275's are looking pretty good. I'll probably upgrade sometime this winter if work starts to pickup soon.

Yeah after the fall all of those should be out, so I should be right on time. Not much changed between the 8 and 9 series, but the 2XX series is a little better.

Hah, this HD2600 Pro is the best video card I have ever owned in every way shape and form. I used to play CounterStrike Source on a Radeon 9200 128MB AGP 4x for YEARS. I got average 60FPS on Medium settings. I was happy with that. I never knew what I was missing.

I have noticed this HD2600 Choking on Left 4 Dead and COD4. It runs Fallout 3 and Oblivion pretty well...

Anyone have a suggestion for a good card sub $150? I'm Really strapped for cash right now.

I have never owned an Nvidia Chipset based Video card. Ever. But recently (as in the past 2 years) Nvidia is the GPU to own if you use Linux. Which I am going to be putting back on this box.

EDIT: Yea, you should upgrade your card. And gimme your old one
