YouTube has announced that it will add true high defination playback to its service next week. With the rise of HD video cameras, both highend and lowend, it makes sense to enable full HD playback.

For videos that support it, adding &fmt=37 to the end of a youtube video link will enable the 1080P option.

On my 1080P monitor it looks good enough to watch a whole movie, even though the video is compressed.
