![]() Microsoft has announced that has been developing a new touchscreen ultra-mobile device that will function as an ebook reader and mobile device. The "Courier" was developed in secrecy with a small team of engineers and is in its final stages of development. The device features a book-like design with two 7" touchscreens -- similar to a Nintendo DS. Both screens will support multi-touch and allow users to write using fingers or stylist pen. One cool feature lets you drag items from one screen to another just by dragging the item to the hinge of the device. The Courier will also include WiFi access, web cam and battery with induction recharging, which means the device can be charged just by laying it down on it's charge pad, no need to plug in cables. My guess is that this device will will compete with Amazon's Kindle and other ebook readers.
