 If you use Ventrilo, Teamspeak, Skype or other communication software in Windows 7 you might have noticed that the sound volume of other programs may drop when they are both in use. This is caused by a new feature in Windows 7 that is suppose to drop the background sounds of your computer down so that you can hear your call better. The problem is that with gaming you want to hear both the game and communication program at the same volume. I notice this problem most often in Left 4 Dead. To fix this problem follow these steps:
Now Windows 7 should not drop background sounds down in favor of voice communications. Please let me know if you find this guide helpful!

Unfortunately this does not work for me, any other ideas? Uninstalling /reinstalling drivers helps, but only temporarily.

fix for teamspeak droping volume of game when someone or me talking
i have found a fix for teamspeak in teamspeak go to settings->plugins unchek "Volume Control" plugin
this plugin does this :Reduce volume of other applications when someone is speaking in your channel. On systems other than Windows 7 or newer only Winamp's volume is affected. finaly after 2 days of pain and research
